This site is about helping folks memorize key passages from the Bible with the aid of music and song. While there’s no shortage of this type of thing out there, our approach is different - focusing on longer passages, whole chapters divided into individual songs.

In Dallas Willard’s book, The Great Omission, the author addresses the topic of personal soul care, which includes the importance of character, and how our lives can be a seamless manifestation of the fruit of the Spirit (see Galatians 5:23).
Willard then reveals the fundamental secret of caring for our souls, which is to practice the presence of God, continually redirecting our minds to Him.
Once we have received Jesus, directing our attention to Him will be strengthened by memorization of great passages (not just verses) from Scripture. Willard includes Colossians chapter 3 in his short list of recommendations, and goes on to say that the practice of Scripture memorization is more important than a daily quiet time, “for as we fill our minds with these great passages and have them available for meditation, quiet time takes over the entirety of our lives.” (Dallas Willard The Great Omission New York: HarperCollins, 2006 p.126)
